Look at that feature image. I couldn’t find a place to take photos so

How ’bout that.

So for Beauty Friday I wanted to talk about Morphe. I’m sure you’ve heard of them, I mean, they perform brilliant PR blitzes to get their name out and for that I say hustle.

At first I was a bit of a skeptic. After all, it felt like every Guru with a YouTube channel was hyping this brand and me being me I questioned their authenticity. Like, do you REALLY love the 35O palette? Really? Or do you love the kickback you get from your Morphe affiliate codes?

See what I mean?

But last year when Morphe launched their two limited edition palettes – Copper Spice and Bronzed Mocha – I decided to give them a shot. They were offering both at a decent price after Christmas and I figured why not treat myself.

Little did I know Bronzed Mocha was going to end up becoming my go-to.

I mean, look at some of these shades

Beautiful.

And they perform just as beautifully as they look.

I now own four palettes – Copper Spice and Bronzed Mocha, the forever hyped 35O, and the newly launched 35R. I love them all. I also recently picked up a new brush to apply my highlight. I’m impressed by the quality as well.

The bristles are very soft. No fraying, no fall out. The ferrule is sturdy, and the handle is rather hefty. It creates an intense highlight, so if you’re wanting to be seen from outer space consider the Morphe M438. It’s better than a fan brush.

Now, I know Morphe gets a lot of flack for being a private label. I know a lot of beauty critics like to sit high on their ivory pedestals and look down on consumers that are “duped” into buying Morphe. I don’t give a shit. I work hard for my money and if I want to spend it on a private label brand I will. Morphe provides lovely products at a great price. I adore their eyeshadow palettes and the one brush I own thus far has pleased me greatly.

So whatever, I guess I’m a schmuck. I guess I’ve been duped. I don’t give a fuck.

I’ll keep buying Morphe.

My one qualm with Morphe is overchoice. Now, don’t get me wrong, spending $22.99 on 35 eyeshadows is a great deal. It’s why I did it twice.┬áBut admittedly it’s a little overwhelming deciding which of the 35 shades you’re going to use.

Look at them.

They’re all quietly squealing “pick me, pick me!”

But the shadows themselves are nicely pigmented, with very few duds. I can’t speak for everyone, but I find that their shimmery shades produce minimal fallout. And they blend like a fucking DREAM.

I love Morphe.

I recommend the 35O because it’s a great mix of warm toned neutrals, from shimmer to matte. I also recommend Bronzed Mocha as it’s my favorite palette, but you’ll have to find it in the secondary market because I don’t think Morphe is going to re-release it. It’s hard for me to recommend brushes because I only have one, but I plan to add more to my collection and I recommend the brushes on principle.

If you’re like me and could give two shits about private label, this is a brand to consider.

Beauty Fridays!

Have you tried Morphe? Do you think I’m a capitalist dog? Let me know. I love to talk about makeup.

Clearly.
